FROND OF THE CLASS

A few days ago i watched a movie called “frond of the class”  and i likes it very much. This is an American film of 2008, based on the book “Frond of the class: how Tourette Syndrome made me the teacher i never had” by Brad Cohan.

The film is directed by Peter Werner in the main role of Brad Cohan is Jimmy Wolk . The main character of the film has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome in his childhood. This syndrome is characterized by motor and vocal tics. Common tics are blinking, coughing, troat clearing, sniffing and facial movements witch could make a person unpleasant by others.

The film is about Cohen’s life and how his discover inspires him to work as a Teacher of the year Award, which he accepts in front his family, friends and students.

The success story of Brad Cohen teaches us that nothing could stop us to follow our dreams. Before the ending titles a photograph of real Brand Cohen, teaching his class is shown. I like this movie and i would recommend it to my friends.

Pros and cons essay

Today the parents buy for their children electrical devices so easy. Maybe, they are tired to have the kids asking for their smartphones all day, every day and as an easy solution, they buy one for their children of all ages. But, have they ever seen and the other side of this situation?

Maybe, they know there are  only good things about the smartphones, which make the parents and the kids glad. To begin with the communication of the kids with their friends. The messages is a cheaper and a easy way for all the people with all the ages, but more for the parents. As a result, they are relaxed, because they don’t have to go every day over than ten km for the friends. Secondly, the kids are being called by their parents, when he/she isn’t at home. For example, when the kid are on the street and he/she doesn’t feel safe, can call to the home and feels better.

On the other hand, a smartphone can be addictive for all the ages. In this ages, the childrens start to learn new things for a better future, but the electrical devices is a bad habit for that. This is because, when they feel bored,  they play with their phones and aren’t seeing their responsibilities. Also, the most important is that it is bad for the health, such as the bad eyesight and the bad sleep quality.

In my opinion, people must have smartphones from a suitable age, from which have right thoughts. Have you ever compared the two sides of the coin?

Making the lesson interesting

Dear teachers,

You asked me such as all the students about what we can do in order for the lesson not to be boring. Personally, I believe that we can do some interesting activities to keep the student interest.

At first, we can go on more educational and entertaining excursions to a lot of different places and can do some other educational programs. like Erasmus, music, robotic, painting and others.

Secondly, in the class, we can use the internet more to visit some educational sites and sometimes watch some movies. Also, in celebrations (Christmas, carnival season, easter) we can have a party all the previous day and don’t’ have any lesson this day.

Overall, that was some of my ideas about how the lesson not to be boring. The lesson mustn’t be boring and with some activities, programs and interesting teaching, it must be better.

Yours faithfully,

Akis.

Dear Teachers Please listen

Dear Teachers,

As a student, I know how it is to be bored in class, and that’s the reason I’m writing to you. Also, I believe as a student I can really help you with that problem. And I have two ideas that I would like to tell you.

My first idea is simple, for most people that know about technology. My idea is to use computers more in class, and see videos or writing or anything else that can be connected to the subject of the lesson. With that, the lesson can be more interesting and see what other people say about that. Except that kids know days seem to pay more attention when computers are used on the lesson.

My other idea is a little weird, but in my opinion, it works. And that is that students should choose what to do in the lesson, but of course to be on the subject that you are on. By that, the students would pay more attention and be more interested in the subject, because the lesson is going on the way that they like. And by that the students communicate about the next choice they make all together and no one is left out, so all students like the what is happening in the lesson.

I hope my ideas using tech and giving choice were interesting and appreciated by all of you teachers. In my opinion, I believe this with help with your problem and you will see highly engaged students in your classes.

Yours faithfully,

Stratos Koutouktsis

Kids having smartphones

Hi guys, today i’m gonna told you about kids having smartphones.

The advantages of kids having smartphones is: You can learn technology better from phones(smartphones). They can also search word that they don’t know in different languages to their language and teach the word.

Now the negativvely is that the used that more for playing video games , seeing YouTube, seeing TikToks and other like this. They also stay on the phone for lot of hours and destroyed their eye. And at the end they usually use Instagram, Viber, Messanger and chating with friends for hours and hours.

That means than kids have to use lot of lower time smartphones .

Thanks for reading bye!!!

New Words:
Favourite part of the book:
I like this book because it’s a novel with a lot of information about life in South Africa, in the end of 19th century. Poverty , smallpox epidemic, a deep dark diamond mine, the fear that blinds people to the truth, paints the portrait of colonial South Africa in 19th century.
Class:
I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
