I had got a great time at Easter. At Easter I went to the church with my family. In the church were my grandparents ,my aunt and uncle ,my cousins and my best friend Theologos . Together with my friend Theologos had got small dinamitakia. At the second week we went to my village Plomari and there I went for fishing with my friend Mitso and Taki and we caught5 fishes. I went with my best friend John, for a walk and and we ate ice cream. Also I went with my father to Panagia Krifti on foot .I went for swimming with my mum and I met two friends and we played in the sea . This Easter was very beautiful because I spend time with my friends and family.
Easter in Greece is the biggest holiday of the church. School closes for two weeks and we all say wishes. Easter time we eat chocolate eggs, we paint red eggs, we play egg hunting and we have Easter bunnies. My mum makes Easter cookies. At Great Saturday we break the red eggs and see who wins and we eat a soup “mageiritsa”. Happy easter to all, “Xristos Anesti”.
Environmental problems are big. We have air pollution, rubbish, polluted seas and we must all do something to save our planet. We can recycle paper, glass, aluminium and plastic in the blue bins. We can use the bus or our bicycles and not our cars. We must stop polluting the sea and the beaches. We can organise a cleanup day in the forest or in the beach. We must protect wildlife and save the trees. The environment is very important and we must protect it.
I like Easter because the schools are closed and my cousin and my uncles come from Athens. I also like the customs of Easter, especially on Holy Week when we paint the eggs and go to the Epitaph and throw lanterns in the sky. But more beautiful is the Holy Saturday when we go to the church and throw fireworks and light the candles with the Holy Light.
Hi! I’m Maritina, I want to talk about what I did at Easter break.
I did many things. I went to my grandmum’s and granddad’s house. I saw two movies “stroumfakia 1 and 2” and I also saw the movie “brave”. Also, I went to my garden. We didn’t go to church but we watched the church on TV. I read the book Harry Potter 1, I listened to music and I played board games with my cousin.
I had an amazing time during Easter break!

Hi! I’m Maritina. We must eat healthy foods because it is good for our body. We must eat lots of fruit and vegetables because they help our body and does not give us many calories. We must eat bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and cereal because It is important to eat and it gives energy. We must eat beans, fish, meat and eggs because they give protein and vitamins we need for our body and they have little fat. We must eat milk, yoghurt, butter and cheese these foods have lots of proteins and need our body. We mustn’t eat many sweets because they have a lot of fat and we don’t eat these foods always.
