Robinson Crusoe

Author: Daniel Defoe
Summary:

Robinson Crusoe was the son of a rich family. He wanted to go to the sea to become a sailor, but his parents and friends told him it wasn’t a good idea. Robinson found the way to go to the sea, but there, he lived an unbelievable adventure. An English captain found Robinson in London and told him to come with him. He didn’t leave the chance to sail again and he followed his captain to the Mediterrenean Sea. But near North Africa, pirates came to his ship, killed two men and captured all the others. He was in the pirates’ hands for two years, until a Portuguese ship found him and took him as a sailor.  He went to Brazil and bought a plantation.  He left Brazil, but when he was returning there, the wind blew very hard, that took him to a lonely island near Trinidad and Tobago. The first thing he did was to build a place to stay. He learned how to make bread and to dry grapes.  He lived twenty-eight years there. An English ship came to the island,in his last year in it. The captain of the ship said to Robinson that he will give the ship to him to return back to England. The captain kept his word and gave the ship to Robinson Crusoe, who returned to England thirty-five years after he left.
