Mars is my favourite planet. It is the fourth planet from the Sun and it is 224 million kilometers away from the Sun. Mars is almost the same size as Earth. It has got a rocky surface with red dust,too. It hasn’t got any rings but it has 2 moons, Phobos and Deimos. A typical year in Mars lasts 687 Earth days, so it is almost double a year on Earth. Days on Mars are very similiar to Earth’s. One day on Mars lasts 25 hours. Mars has also four seasons, but they are twice as long as those on Earth. Lastly, Mars has only one volcano, Olympus Mons, and it is three times bigger than Mr Everest. It is the biggest volcano in the entire solar system. I hope men can live on Mars, one day.
