Objective
Word Warrior Challenge
The Word Warrior Challenge is a vocabulary competition that tests the student’s knowledge and understanding of words from various disciplines. The competition challenges the students to expand their vocabulary, improve their language skills and increase their confidence in using words.
Το Word Warrior Challenge είναι ένας διαγωνισμός λεξιλογίου που δοκιμάζει τις γνώσεις και την κατανόηση των μαθητών για λέξεις από διάφορες επιστήμες. Ο διαγωνισμός προκαλεί τους μαθητές να επεκτείνουν το λεξιλόγιό τους, να βελτιώσουν τις γλωσσικές τους δεξιότητες και να αυξήσουν την αυτοπεποίθησή τους στη χρήση των λέξεων.
Competition Rules:
- You have to use your real name and surname.
- You can play many times to get to the top of the leadeboard.
- Each student/team will be given the same list of words.
- The students will have a specific amount of time to complete each round.
- The words will be randomly selected from different disciplines, including science, social studies, math, and language arts found in the school student books.
- The students can play the quiz unlimited times.
- The judges' decision will be final, and no disputes will be entertained.
Competition Format
The competition is timed, and each student will be provided with a list of words. The students will have to define and use the words in context to demonstrate their understanding of the words. The competition will consist of multiple rounds, and the words will become progressively more challenging in each round. The students who score the highest points will be declared the winners of the competition.
Ο διαγωνισμός έχει χρονομετρημένη διάρκεια, και κάθε μαθητής θα λάβει μια λίστα με λέξεις. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να ορίσουν και να χρησιμοποιήσουν τις λέξεις στο πλαίσιο για να επιδείξουν την κατανόησή τους για τις λέξεις. Ο διαγωνισμός θα αποτελείται από πολλαπλούς γύρους, και οι λέξεις θα γίνουν πιο προκλητικές σε κάθε γύρο. Οι μαθητές που θα σκοράρουν τους υψηλότερους βαθμούς θα ανακηρυχθούν νικητές του διαγωνισμού.
Prizes
The winners of the Word Warrior Challenge will be awarded Public gift vouchers. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
