Dite e veres- day of the summer

In Albania on march 14 is celebrated “dita e veres”. It marks the end of the winter season and the beginning of the spring and summer season. The distinctive sing of this holiday is baking “ballokume”. A sugar cookie with Albanian corn. All the people wear a red and white wool bracelet called “verore”. In this day all the family eats together and congratulate each other on living long and happy lives. In the noon families would jump over a small fire. Is a very beautiful day and all Albanian all over the word celebrate it.
