Your English teacher wants you to write an essay about life in 50 years. Write your essay using ideas below. (120-150 words)

- Introduction paragraph 1
- Did you introduce the topic in the introduction?
- Did you say if things will be better in the future?
- Did you state which topics you will talk about in the introduction?
Paragraph one : State the topic and give your opinion (rephrase the question)

Example paragraph:
Life in the future will be very different than it is today
- Paragraphs 2 and 3
- Did you use a linking word in the second paragraph?
- Did you use a topic sentence to say what topic you are going to talk about??
- Did you give an example for your viewpoint?
- Did you tell us what the example means with phrases like: ‘This means’, ‘As a result’, ‘For this reason’ or ‘Therefore’
Paragraph two and three: Discuss viewpoint two
Linking word: Secondly/furthermore/ In addition
Then state your second viewpoint to support your opinion –
Write an example of your viewpoint and use the linking word – For instance,
Write the result of your viewpoint and use the linking word – As a result,
- Conclusion paragraph
- Did you summarise what you have said in paragraphs 2 and 3?
- Did you tell me why your opinion is reasonable?
- Did you leave me with something to think about for the future?
Paragraph four: Conclusion and restate your opinion
Linking word: In conclusion/To conclude/ to sum up
Opinion: I believe that/ to my mind/In my opinion
Remember to restate what you have mentioned in paragraph two and three.
